shot 1(mine): for shot 1 I chose a medium shot as it shows everything on the screen so the audience can see all the movement that is going on around the characters and the movement of the rocket ship being placed back on the shelf. the use of the zoom in on the boys face emphasises his sadness

In the actual scene the shot used is a medium shot of the boy walking towards him family with the rocket ship witch then the dad takes from him using a close up shot and takes the batteries out whilst tracking the movement of the dads hands and then follows that dads face staying in a close up shot

shot 2: for shot 2 I chose another medium shot as it again includes everything in the scene and shows the mother passing the child to the father and can include him walking out of the frame as well

shot 3: for shot 3 I again chose a medium shot as it can show the mother picking up her bag and putting it onto her back and then walking out the frame

In the actual scene the use of a medium close up shot is used to show the mother talking to the little boy and stroking his face and then follows the mother walking away

shot 4: for shot 5 I chose an over the shoulder shot as it will show her looking out of the window to see that her parents have left the shop

In the actual scene the daughter is shown to be looking at her parents as she's walking away and then turns back to look at her little brother

shot 5: for shot 4 I chose a wide shot (ignore the fact I wrote medium shot) because it will show the parents walking away and will include the little boy watching his sister reach for the rocket

In the actual scene the front of the shop is shown and the audience can see the parents walking out with their other children

shot 6: for shot 6 I chose a close up shot as it will be effective because it will show the rocket ship being removed from the shelf even though the dad said no to it.

In the actual scene the daughter is shown reaching for the rocket and uses a medium shot to show her passing the rocket to the boy

For this task I had to read a part of the script from the quiet place then decide what shots I thought would work best for the scene. To decide what shots I thought were best I read the script and thought about what type of shot would be the most effective. after I decided what shots I wanted I created a shot list containing all the shot ideas I thought would be good in the scene. After I created the shot list I created two storyboards demonstrating the shot being used in that scene and why it would be effective to the scene.
