You’ve found a body… with a wallet sticking out of its pocket

Where could it be:

it could be in a forest, in a field, in a ditch

Who will you tell:

I would call the police first because the police would be able to tell me if there's anything that I needed to do and so I could explain what I have found so they can send a team to come and try and figure out what may have happened. Then I would tell my parents because I would probably be freaked out and feel a bit stressed and would need to be able to calm down. then I would tell my friends because they may find it interesting.

What will you do about it?

I would call the police and describe everything that I can see around and on the body. With the wallet I would leave it in its place because it would be disrespectful to steal and if I were to take it my finger prints would be on the wallet which could cause issues as then the police may suspect me of something.

What elements of conflict might come about?

1. There could be conflict in taking the wallet or not because it would be quite tempting and interesting to maybe find out who the body is if there is any ID in the wallet.

2. There may also be conflict in whether I would call the police or just leave it and let somebody else find the body as the police may want to make the person who finds the body involved in the crime scene and the investigation and there's a possibility I wouldn't want to be in that situation as it would be stressful.

3. There also could be conflict if someone saw you looking or standing near the body and goes to have a closer look at the body, a person could see and then get the wrong idea and then call the police the person who is standing by the body and then they would be innocent but the police would possibly consider you a suspect and could become a worse issue.

Write up three scenes demonstrating the conflict

1. Someone is walking through a forest and they come across the body under a few leaves and they become a bit shocked for a second and kind of freezes and looks around to see if anyone is around them. Then the person may bend down to possibly get a closer look and see who it may be and then they notice the wallet and they go to reach for it but then they hesitate and pull there hand back away whilst thinking to themselves "do I take a look do I not because what if I leave fingerprints on it or around it" and they stay in conflict with themselves for a while deciding whether to take it or not but then they realise what consequences could be and end up just calling the police and telling them what they have found.

2. Someone is walking through a field and as they are walking through they look to the side and see a part of the filed has a small gap in between the long grass and they go over to find out that there's a body there and the person becomes very stressed and doesn't know what to do as they are now panicking and they look around stressfully. Then they start to walk away but then spin back around as they feel bad for leaving the body. Then they debate with themselves if they want to call the police or not and they start to dial 999 but then they stop before they press the ring button and they crouch down with their hands on their head in conflict with themselves if they want to call the police as they don't want to be involved with the investigation or want to be asked any questions.

3. Someone is on a walk with their dog and the dog goes into the ditch and starts sniffing around and then discovers the body then sniffs round the body. The owner comes over and is shouting at the dog to come back up from the ditch and the dog runs back up and then the owner looks over to look into the ditch and they see the body then they look around to see if anyone's around. Then the owner goes into the ditch with the dog to get a closer look and then the owner looks up as they are about to grab the wallet to have a look inside to see who the body may belong to by seeing if there's and ID or something inside, but they see someone standing looking into the ditch raising their phone to their ear and hears a faint "999 what's the emergency?"
