final interview

for this task we were put into groups to create an interview with ten questions. before we were put into our groups we created our own list of ten questions I based mine of film and tv as I felt it was relevant to out subject and would be able to provide some interesting answers from the person being interviewed. after we were put into groups we decided our roles within the group, I chose to film the production as I feel most confident behind the camera. after we had chosen the rolls we got our equipment and found a location to film the interview itself, we chose a basic interview set up in a classroom as it was hard to find a relevant location to the topic.
Firstly we filmed the entire interview so we had the footage and sound for every question, we didn't really have to want issues at this stage other than the fact our microphone wasn't good at picking up the voices as we didn't have the foam over the top so we used the camera footage and sound in the final edit as it was clearer.
After we had filmed all the interview we filmed some b-roll that was relevant to the topic that was being questioned about, the issue we had at this point is that we didn't have much we could film that was relevant so we shot what we could but we ended up with not enough b-roll so in the final edit I included clips from films and tv shows and relevant moments from so I could edit them into parts of the interview where they were being spoken about to have more b-roll.
during the editing stage I also applied the 3 voice effects that we had previously practiced in the class to make the audio clearer, I used the parametric equaliser, single band compressor and denoise effects to make the audio quality much more understandable. When applying these effects I also learned how to "nest" footage and sound together on premire pro to make everything into one big clip.
